Walk the Talk

Vento has undertaken a number of initiatives to ensure we practice what we preach.

VENTO Office:

  • Previously working out of a recycled flour mill warehouse in Newtown (Office carpet was low VOC made from recycled plastic bottles and office paint was made in low VOC paints)
  • Currently working in a Green Office at South Sydney Corporate Park.
  • Recycling all office waste.
  • Utilising low energy office equipment.

VENTO Marketing:

VENTO is environmentally friendly and cares for the environment by using the following products and procedures in the production of  marketing materials:

  • Paper: Impress has an ISO 14001 accreditation and is produced with ECF (elemental chlorine free) pulp.
  • Printing: Printed using soy based vegetable inks and all excess paper and off cuts from the printing process are recycled.
  • VENTO pens made from recycled paper with biodegradable cornstarch fittings.

  • Directly sponsoring six children to go to school in Luang Prabang in Laos
  • Directly sponsoring an orphanage in Siem Reap in Cambodia
  • Providing English teaching services to the  orphanage in Siem Reap in Cambodia
  • Sponsoring a child in Phnom Penh, Cambodia through a charity
  • Sponsoring a child in Peru through a charity
  • Sponsoring Medecins Sans Frontieres Australia
  • Speaking free of charge about sustainability to assorted ‘not for profit’ organisations

VENTO Preservation

  • Owning and preserving 300 acres of  mixed forest and old growth forest as an oxygen farm and carbon offset facility on the Mid North Coast of NSW
  • Sponsoring endangered orangutans in Borneo
